How is Ovulation Date Calculated?
Ovulation typically occurs 14 days before the next expected period. Since cycle length varies, the calculation adjusts accordingly. For a 28-day cycle, ovulation is on Day 14. For a 32-day cycle, ovulation is on Day 18.
The fertile window includes the 5 days before ovulation plus ovulation day. Sperm can survive up to 5 days in the female reproductive tract, but an egg is viable for only 12–24 hours after release.
